Recommended to try other options of hay first. The diamond cut timothy hay is very soft, and very leafy, with little stem. Picky eaters tend to take to this. After some time, you can start mixing other hay in as well. The diamond cut hay may be lower in grass fiber compared to 1st and 2nd cut timothy hay (since they have more stems), but hay will help you prevent all kinds of Gastro Intestinal and dental issues.
